Eco-civilization

At CESAR, we believe that gaining a better understanding of ancient beliefs and practices that have evolved over time, especially in regards to resource utilization and living in a complex human environment, can reveal links to nature conservation and living in harmony with nature. However, many factors, including overpopulation, industrialization, and migration, have suppressed or changed the course of such civilization practices. As a result, we aim to understand the science behind those practices and share it on a wide scale. Supporting local stakeholders in identifying their visions for an ecological civilization and connecting those values with the resources, knowledge, and support they need will accelerate systemic change toward societies that together adapt an Eco-Civilization in their lifestyle. Programmatic work at the intersection of local actions and theories on root causes is often the missing piece in efforts to establish an ecological civilization that serves the well-being of both people and the planet.
